VIENTIANE, 7 October 2024 – The Regional FDI Investment Promotion Action Plan (RIPAP) 2025-2030 “Attracting FDI in the Green and Health Economy in ASEAN” was launched by Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr Kao Kim Hourn and Dr. Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Secretary of ESCAP, during the ASEAN Investment Forum 2024. The launch highlighted the importance of boosting region-wide investment promotion effort and presenting ASEAN as single investment destination.

The ASEAN Regional FDI Action Plan 2025-2030 is a strategic initiative on collective promotion effort developed in collaboration between the ASEAN Coordinating Committee on Investment (CCI), ASEAN Secretariat, and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP).

The work plan enables ASEAN Member States (AMS) to collaborate effectively in promoting investment across the region and across the value-chain of activities, building on the complementarity of individual AMS’ economic strength. The RIPAP was recently adopted in-principle by ASEAN Economic Ministers-ASEAN Investment Area (AIA) Council on 16 September 2024, as a living document that can be updated as and when necessary, taking into account ASEAN Member States’ available resources and capacity, as well as their investment promotion strategies and priorities.

The RIPAP document can be found here.
