ASEAN Holds Forum on Sustainable Investment

 

JAKARTA, 5 November 2021 - Today, the ASEAN Coordinating Committee on Investment concluded a two-day Forum on Sustainable Investment in ASEAN, held virtually. Hosted by the ASEAN Secretariat, the forum served as a platform to exchange information and best practices on initatives to promote sustainable investment.

It also aimed to enhance analytical support and technical capacity of ASEAN Member States in designing and implementing policies that promote sustainable investment. Such investments will support the recovey of ASEAN, build more resilient economies, and contribute to achievement of sustainable development goals.

The forum was held in collaboration with speakers and resource persons from the ASEAN-Japan Centre, ASEAN-Korea Centre, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, United Nations Economic and Social COmmission for Asia and the Pacific, and World Economic Forum.

Representatives from various ASEAN sectoral bodies, international organisations, as well as private sector bodies attended the forum.
