ASEAN Launches Special ASEAN Investment Report 2023

JAKARTA, 20 December 2023 – The ASEAN Investment Report (AIR) 2023 was launched today.  The report highlighted Foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows in ASEAN which reached an all-time high of $224 billion in 2022. This special edition, titled International Investment Trends: Key Issues and Policy Options, analyses emerging issues significant for policy makers across the region. These includes international supply chain restructuring, international tax reform, investment in the energy transition, electric vehicle supply chain, and intra-ASEAN investment.  The report was developed with technical support from the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, and financial support from the Government of Indonesia.
